Jonathan Deamer

New media and pop culture.

About

Jonathan Deamer is a new-media-webby type person who grew up in Surrey (England), but now lives and works in Liverpool after having gone to college there. He last updated this page in August 2009, which is probably ages ago by now.  He works for a technology startup (and loves it) after having previously done stuff with music publishing, digital marketing, music festivals and plenty of Web 2.0 buzzword fun.  He also sometimes writes on a freelance basis ‘cos he’s dead eloquent an’ stuff.

He used to write a blog solely about music (since 2004), but that got boring. He’s far too opinionated to restrict himself to one subject, and so set up this site in May 2007 as a way to inflict his myriad viewpoints on the internet-browsing public.  To further this aim even more, he runs a Tumblr tumblelog (with a lot more tech and business stuff than this blog) and tweets with an obsessive-compulsive frequency.

Other things he likes include stand up comedy and intelligent sitcoms, politics, technology, the novels of Chuck Palahniuk, being a news junkie, receiving e-mails from people who’ve read his scribblings, and writing about himself in the third person.
